A South Texas Favorite
We’ve been specializing in tamales for over 30 years. Starting out as a means of supporting her family, our founder, Delia, and her sister would set out with their freshly-cooked tamales in coolers, going door-to-door and business-to-business selling them. After growing a dedicated client base, Delia realized that she was quickly outgrowing her kitchen.
In 1998, Delia opened her first location in South McAllen. The demand for her tamales grew and she had no choice but to open a second location in 2003 in Pharr. A third was added in Edinburg in 2006, a fourth and fifth location in Mission and San Juan followed in 2008 and the sixth location in North McAllen was added in 2012.

In the past, our customers shared with us how they’d bought tamales and shipped them to a relative or friend outside of the Valley.
