For those of you residing elsewhere, you’re also in luck because you can order yours online and have them shipped anywhere in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii! You may have a few questions about our shipping process. Let’s go over them!

If you don’t reside in the Valley, know that our tamales are available to you! Order online today so that they arrive just in time for the holidays!

How Long Does Shipping Take?

We can’t promise an exact date of when your tamales will arrive, however, you have the option to choose a shipping date up to eight weeks after your order is placed. This is why we strongly encourage you to place an order as soon as possible if you plan on serving delicious tamales during this year’s holiday season. It usually takes us about 61 hours to prepare your order before it’s shipped.

When Will Shipping Take Place?

Delivery days are between Tuesdays and Fridays on a weekly basis while tamales are only shipped between Mondays and Thursdays unless making special arrangements with us, upon which an additional cost will be included. All of our tamales are made fresh when ordered. After preparing them, they are then frozen to preserve their flavors for the trip until they arrive to you. Again, this process usually takes two and a half days or so. From there, your order will be completed and will then be shipped off to you!

The Best Time for Ordering

We recommend that you place your order between Tuesdays and Fridays. This way, we’ll have plenty of time to sort out and process your request. Again, we can’t promise an exact delivery date, but instead we’ll do our best to provide an estimated day of arrival. Please take into consideration that weather and other factors can affect the shipping process, resulting in your order arriving later than usual. However, this is a rare occurrence.

The tamales you sell in your restaurant (hot or frozen) are two dollars per dozen cheaper than what you sell them for online. You already charge a shipping and handling charge, why do you also charge two dollars more per dozen?

Hello Daniel, Thank you for contacting Delias!
What most are not aware of is that our Online operations are separate from our In-Store operations. Costs are different, therefore, causing a bit of a difference in price. Have a great day!

We love and order Delia’s tamales for Christmas to be shipped out of state. Will we be notified when our order is shipped and will that include a tracking number? Thank you

      Barbara,

Shipping during the holidays is limited by large demand. The great thing about ordering our tamales online is the date you want you select online during checkout is an estimated date of arrival. While things can happen that cause them to be delayed, if you entered a vaild email while ordering, you will always get tracking information once shipped. Our frozen tamales also can be kept frozen for up to 6 months before losing any freshness.

      Ann,

The only way to get an estimate for shipping is to go through the ordering process. So many factors go into what that price will be it is the only way to get an accurate answer.

Is there a way to go through the ordering process to get shipping charges but then not place the order? If the order must be placed it is a deal breaker. No other company that I know of operates this way?

You can absolutely get your shipping cost prior to paying. However, you do have to put in how much you’re ordering and address before you can get a price as those are all factors. The shipping cost is given just before the last step of entering your credit card information.

      Afternoon,

They would arrive on the day you selected when placing your order. The date is also on the email you would have received. Once your package ships, you will receive another email with a tracking number.
